Post Ecopsychology Workshop
with Rob Fisher and Hu Tung Ting

7 CEUs for MFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs (see below for details)

Our life is shorter than flowers.
Then shall we mourn?
No, we shall dance
Plant gardens
Dress in colors
And teach our children
To make the world more beautiful.
Because our life
Is shorter than flowers.

~ from the Toltec Culture

LOCATION:  Mill Valley private residence

About This Workshop: Many factors take us away from ourselves:  rules about how to be and not be, shame, rejection, even our attempts to lead productive lives, we often tend to forget ourselves. In this outdoors workshop we will use mindfulness and compassion practices to open a gentle space in which we can use the deep resources of nature to come back to our hearts and to our essential selves.

You will have the opportunity to explore on your own in nature in mini quests, with partners and in group council. You’ll make natural mandalas and wild temples, use movement practices and talk with stones and trees to explore your deepest sense of yourself and what you are doing here.

In this workshop you will learn to:

  • Use nature and mindfulness to deepen your compassion for yourself and for others
  • Go on a search in the woods or on the meadows to find what is really important to you
  • Utilize mindfulness to deepen your experience of yourself and the natural environment
  • Employ movement and art outdoors to more deeply explore the inner workings of your psyche and integrate new material and insight
  • Discover in nature how you hold yourself back from yourself
