Jan Edl Stein will offer an introduction to basic principles and considerations for introducing core/pan-cultural shamanic practices within a traditional psychotherapy clinical context. In this experiential and didactic presentation, Jan will demonstrate techniques of engaging the imaginal, inducing a light trance state, and framing the intention. We will discuss case examples and review a shamanic framework of dis-ease and healing.
The techniques are easily learned and lend a creative, engaging and highly effective treatment approach to many difficult clinical presentations including depression, anxiety and trauma reaction.
This is a small group meeting in an intimate space in a private home in west Marin.
Limited to 8 participants who are licensed or pre-licensed psychotherapists.
We will enjoy our bagged lunches over a lively discussion with refreshments provided.
Fee for the workshop is $130, payable in advance upon registration.
The fee is only refundable (minus $25 processing fee) with cancellations on or before May 1.
Please email Jan directly if you are interested at jan@janedl.com
